What We Deliberately Avoid
Choices made to enhance the Maachli experience.
For a natural cooling experience and eco-friendly living, we do not use artificial air-conditioning.
For a genuine digital and gadget detox, there is no television, Wi-Fi is available only in designated areas, and mobile connectivity is limited.
For more time outdoors and to enjoy our open dining spaces, we do not offer room service or allow eatables in the cottages.
No alcohol, and no convenience shop for chips, packaged snacks, soft drinks, etc.
Room Allocation Guide
Adults only
1 room per 3 adults (2 included, 3rd adult chargeable, see below): 6 adults = 2 rooms, 7 adults = 3 rooms.
With children
Each room with children holds 2 adults + 2 children. Remaining adults go 3 per room.
3rd adult in a room
The first 2 adults per room are included. A 3rd adult (above 10 years) sharing a room with an extra bed is charged ₹3,250/night automatically.
Travel Tips
The Walk In
The walk from the parking area to the entrance is roughly 200m, crossing a betel nut trunk bridge over a stream. This stretch is not lit up at night, so carry a torch.
Essentials to Carry
A valid photo ID proof, floaters, a hat, rain wear, and a torch.
Included Supplies
2 bath towels, 2 soaps, liquid soap, 2 mosquito repellent sticks, 4 hangers, and filtered well water. Carry anything beyond this list that you may need.

Advance Payment
A 100% advance payment is required to confirm a booking.
Cancellation by Guest
Cancellation charges depend on how far in advance a booking is cancelled:
More than 18 days before arrival
No cancellation charges. Eligible for a full refund of the advance payment, after deduction of applicable payment gateway charges, if any.
Between 12 and 18 days before arrival
50% cancellation charges of the total stay amount.
Between 12 and 0 days before arrival
100% cancellation charges of the total stay amount. No refund will be applicable.
No-Show
Failure to arrive on the scheduled date without prior notice will be treated as a no-show, and no refund shall be issued.
Modification of Booking
A confirmed booking cannot be postponed or moved to any other future dates.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
Cancellation by Maachli
In the unlikely event that Maachli must cancel a confirmed booking due to unforeseen circumstances, guests will receive a full refund of the amount paid.
Governing Law
This Cancellation & Refund Policy is governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Vengurle, Sindhudurg, Maharashtra.
